In browsing our site, you may wonder about the background of our company: where we've been and where we're going.

David McGuire had the idea for IST back in 1992. He brought me on board to "do the business end" while he constructed all the software and hardware. IST is truly a creation of Dave's own two hands.

At the time, Dave was much in demand as one of the architects of public access Internet. While he was building his own ISP, he agreed to take the part of hardware and software guru for a startup in Greenbelt Maryland, Digex. While there, he won many accolades, including the prestigious NASA Public Service Award.

IST began as the first public access provider in the South Jersey area. As time passed, we focused on business to business products and became a Point of Presence for ICI/Digex. We are the largest, most reliable ISP in Central and South Jersey.

Today, our services include a full range of web design and hosting services and Internet connectivity offerings.

We've enjoyed being an innovative ISP and have accumulated many credits, such as building Bell Atlantic's first website and first hosting machine. Most of all, we've enjoyed bringing the Internet to you. The reward of our Mission is the seeing the advancement of communication among the people of the world.
